Actionscript

ActionScript is the native language for Flash. Using Flash gives a lot more scope for creating interactive and multimedia web experiences.

ActionScript was originally developed by Macromedia for creating animation and vector based graphics for delivery over the internet. As more applications were taking advantage of Flash the need for a more robust programming language arose, which was delivered with Actionscript 3. Flex Builder is a coding environment and framework for compiling Actionscript.
